Being honest is easy!

The head is personally responsible for the actions of the subordinate, and the one who reports the fact of corruption can receive up to 10 million tenge! This was not only discussed at a seminar held at our university under the auspices of the "Sanaly Urpaq" project office.

Vice-rectors, heads and employees of university departments gathered at the ZOOM site. The speaker, Yekaterina Starostina, chief specialist of the regional department of the Anti-Corruption Service, spoke about legislative innovations and shared how the agency creates zero tolerance for bribery among the population.

For example, according to the results of the survey, respondents, including employees and students of the university, rated the level of perception of corruption in the region as average. This means that there is still much work to be done.

It is no secret to anyone that the education sector is subject to this social evil, therefore it is important that the administration and teachers of educational institutions not only know the legal consequences of each of their actions, but also show an active civic stand on this issue.

The seminar participants raised an important topic about hired executors of essays, SRS, course and diploma projects. Their detection is constantly monitored by the Sanaly urpaq project office, however, there is no legal provision for “help”. We talked about the need to digitalize the processes of the university’s activities and noted the positive experience of the “pilot” project to check into a hostel in an online format.
