Anniversary of Professor Alexander Nikiforov

Today our university celebrated the 70th anniversary of Alexander Vladimirovich Nikiforov - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For over 45 years he has been working in our alma mater. Reads lecture courses on religious studies, the history of Kazakhstan's policy in the religious sphere. Classes loved by all students are interesting, informative, at a high scientific, methodological and professional level.

The solemn celebration of the hero of the day was attended by his colleagues, students, associates. There were many warm words of gratitude, wishes of longevity and health.

Vice-rector for Science and Innovation Akmaral Ibrayeva congratulated Alexander Vladimirovich, presented flowers and recalled the milestones of his biography. Alexander Nikiforov graduated from the Philosophy and Economics Faculty of the Kazakh State University in Almaty. In 1975 he was accepted as a teacher of the philosophy department of the then Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute, where he went from a simple teacher to a professor. In 1996, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the Almaty State University named after Abay on the topic: "Parallels of the Bible and the Koran and the problems of interethnic harmony of the peoples of Kazakhstan", which is relevant and in demand to this day. 5 PhD theses were defended under his supervision. Throughout his life, the constant theme of his scientific research was and remains the problems of religious studies, ethno-confessional relations and the prevention of religious extremism.

He has published more than 100 scientific works, including: the monograph "The Bible and the Koran: origins and parallels", the book "Specificity of ethno-confessional relations in Northern Kazakhstan", as well as the co-authored information and analytical reference book "Religious associations of the North Kazakhstan region: history and modernity. "

For achievements in the field of religious studies and teaching, Alexander Nikiforov in 1996 was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2006 he became a professor at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

His enormous contribution to the development of science and education of our country was marked by government awards: the medal "Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the badge "For the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the badge "Y. Altynsarin", certificates of honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture, Information and public consent of the Republic of Kazakhstan, SOROS Foundation and others.

For Alexander Vladimirovich, philosophy is a way of life. He has his own understanding of the world, his own principles and ideas, to which he is devoted. In his scientific works, a religious scholar seeks to show the peoples of multi-ethnic and multi-confessional states that their customs, traditions, beliefs and culture have more in common than differences. And therefore, at the present time it is important to focus on the universal, moral principle.
