An information seminar on corporate governance was held at Kozybayev University

As you know, from July 1, 2020, our university changed its form of ownership to a NPLC, which entailed major changes in the legal basis for the functioning of the university. One of the explanatory events on this topic was an information seminar for heads of divisions on corporate governance.

Marina Pogrebitskaya, Corporate Secretary of Kozybayev University, highlighted the legal aspects of the NPLC's activities, told about the history of the formation of corporate governance principles. The participants of the seminar were introduced to the structure of the university, and also described in detail the powers of the Sole Shareholder of the company, the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Management Board - Rector, Executive Board, Academic Council.

The participants got acquainted with the composition of the Board of Directors and the list of current corporate documents. In addition, a section of the university website dedicated to corporate governance was presented. Also, a number of practical points on the interaction of university departments with the Executive Board and the Board of Directors were considered.
