Visit of Senator Olga Perepechina and Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Petr Sharapayev to Kozybayev University

Olga Perepechina is not visiting our university for the first time, and therefore can compare the dynamics of its development. At the beginning of the visit, the deputies got acquainted with the progress of construction work of the 11-storey educational and laboratory building. This project is included in the Comprehensive Plan of Social and Economic Development of the North Kazakhstan Region for 2018-2021 and is being implemented under the Employment Roadmap 2020 program. The object grows before our eyes. Piles have already been installed and the 1st floor has been erected. The building is planned to be commissioned in December 2021.

Olga Perepechina asked the representatives of the construction company about the timing of the completion of the construction. Indeed, with an increase in the number of students to the planned 10 thousand, students will need modern laboratories. The builders have assured that the work will be completed on time. "The new complex, with a total area of ​​more than 18 thousand square meters, will house 73 laboratories for engineering and digital technologies, transport, energy, radio engineering and medicine," he said. Chairman of the Board - Rector Yerbol Issakayev. It will conduct research relevant to our region: agronomy, mechanical engineering, Big Data, IT, etc.

The deputies were also interested in other construction projects - dormitories, which are designed to meet the housing needs of nonresident children. Work in this direction is also in full swing: 2 buildings for 244 and 306 places are being erected. And next to the educational and laboratory building, another comfortable Student House will be located.

In addition, on this day Olga Perepechina and Petr Sharapaev visited classrooms and laboratories of the agro-technological faculty, as well as the High School of Medicine. They noted the systematic modernization of a higher educational institution: an increase in the contingent of students to 7.5 thousand people, an upgrade of the material and technical base, an increase in the salaries of teaching staff and employees.
