An online round table "Tauelsizdik barinen kymbat" was held at the university

The newspaper "Yegemen Kazakhstan" published an article by President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev "Independence is the most precious thing". In it, the Head of State assessed the country's development over the years of sovereignty and set tasks for the new decade. The author dwelled not only on the analysis of historical eras, but also on the events taking place at the present time.

In our university, an online round table was devoted to discussing this work of the President. It was attended not only by university teachers and students, but also by external experts.

"This year marks the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. This is an important date in strengthening the revived Kazakh statehood, freedom that our ancestors dreamed of. For history, 30 years is a moment that flies by in the blink of an eye. However, for many peoples, this is a whole era difficulties and joys, crises and ups. Its large block is devoted to youth, education abroad, and the promotion of Kazakhstan values. A graduate of the "Bolashak" program Yerzhan Maken, head of the organizational and inspection structural unit of the akim's apparatus of the North Kazakhstan region, shared his experience of studying abroad.

Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Affairs Nurlan Baimbetov spoke about the role of independence for the country and for each citizen of Kazakhstan personally. “The main achievement of our republic over the years of independence is peace and harmony, and the APK is a unique institution of interethnic interaction,” said Maria Tatarenko, head of the Belarusian ethnocultural center “Radzima” in her speech.

Associate professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and social-human disciplines Zylykha Bimakanova reported on the historical aspect of achieving independence. The view of youth on the formation of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented by the student Alfarabi Mynbai, instructor of the Center for Support of Youth Initiatives.

“Kazakhstan is a single state. Our country is not divided into south, north, west and east. These are just conventional names... We must defend national interests by any means," the Head of State wrote. The participants of the event expressed their full support for the ideas of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed in the article.
