The aim of the project is to develop a practice-oriented model for the formation of digital competence of 5-6-year-olds in a preschool organization. The use of this model will improve the effectiveness of the educational process, the functioning of the information and educational environment, as well as control the quality of the educational process of a preschool organization.
Expected results: The significance of the study lies in the fact that the results (conclusions, constructed model and recommendations) are directly aimed at improving the information and educational environment of preschool organizations, which in turn will have an impact on the formation of digital competence of 5-6-year-olds, as well as materials and results can be actively used by educators, teachers and students of the specialty "Preschool education and upbringing" for the organization of the educational process in a preschool organization.
Project description: The research within the framework of the project will be based on:
– theoretical methods ‒ comparative and aspect analysis of scientific sources and regulatory documents representing global educational practice, the education system of Kazakhstan in general and the formation of digital competence of 5-6-year-olds in preschool organizations, in particular;
– empirical methods – methods of collecting primary information (using monitoring data in the preschool education system for children aged 5-6 years);
– interpretive methods – generalization of theoretical research and advanced pedagogical experience, systematization of empirical material;
– the modeling method.
Work done:
The structure and content of an individual learning outcomes map for older preschool children has been developed, on the basis of which the structure and knowledge base of the subsystem for generating recommendations for improving the process of forming the competencies of older preschool children has been developed. A rule base has been developed to improve the process of digital competence formation in older preschool children.
For the first time, a prototype of the information and educational environment of preschool education organizations in the Republic of Kazakhstan has been developed, which implements the function of managing the process of forming the digital competence of older preschool children, including author's methods, algorithms and models.
Two implementation reports on the practical use of the results were received. Kazan Secondary School, North Kazakhstan region, Zhambyl district and North Kazakhstan University, Department of Theory and Methods of Primary and Preschool Education.
Methodological recommendations have been developed for the formation of digital competence of 5-6-year-old children in a preschool organization, the use of which will make it possible to specify the requirements for the design process of the information and educational environment of a preschool organization.
