Kairzhanova Laura Sovetovna in 1989 enrolled the Petropavlovsk Pedagogical Institute named after K.D. Ushinsky for the specialty "Chemistry and Biology", and since then her life path is connected only with education. Even as a student, Laura Sovetovna distinguished herself not only as a diligent student, but also managed to prove herself in the social and scientific life of the faculty. The fact that she is always positive, has her own opinion and has a refined taste, I noticed when with the 1st year students of the natural geography and physics and Mathematics faculties, as one of the representatives of the university, for a month supervised the work of students on potato harvesting in the Novonikolsky state farm of the Bishkek (now Kyzylzhar) district. Subsequently, I became the curator of the study group where Laura Sovetovna studied, and since then our relationship has grown into a great friendship. It is probably no coincidence that after graduating from the Institute, Laura Sovetovna entered the postgraduate course of the Institute of Human and Animal Physiology of the Ministry of Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where earlier, 10 years ago, I studied and defended my PhD thesis.
In 1998, she successfully defended her PhD thesis in the specialty 03.00.13 – Human and animal Physiology on the topic "Digestive processes in sheep rumen when feed additives are included in the diet". The scientific supervisor was a well-known scientist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, academician of the NAS RK Tashenov K.T., a wonderful organizer, a man with a big heart. This work has found approval not only among scientists and livestock breeders of Kazakhstan, but also in Russia.
After graduating from graduate school, Laura Sovetovna had the opportunity to stay to work in Almaty, which many aspired to, but she returns to her native university. Even in this act, she showed herself to be a patriot of our small homeland, direct and extremely honest.
There is a good Russian proverb "Where I was born, I came in handy there", but not everyone succeeds in this – to live and work where I was born. Someone, due to some circumstances, moves to another place, and someone is just looking for a better life. But my graduate (she was born in the Shal Akyn area of the North Kazakhstan region) everything turned out exactly as in the proverb.
Kairzhanova L.S., after returning to the university, worked as a teacher, senior lecturer, associate professor, senior researcher, scientific secretary of the Academic Council, then she was appointed to the post of head of the Department of Physiology and Valeology. In this position, she proved herself as a good organizer and researcher: she resumes the work of the vivarium, acquires animals, opens an operating room, establishes cooperation with the Regional Hospital. Scientists of the department, students conduct experiments on animals together with the head of the department of the Regional Hospital, Ph.D. A.A. Khamzin. The results of these studies are reflected in the graduation papers of students of the specialty "Valeology" (Kalimova A., Zhusupova D., Slesareva E., Nurkina A., Beisembayeva A., Ibraeva A.), scientific publications, reports at the congress of physiologists and conferences of various levels. All this greatly contributed to the deployment of research work at the department.
In 2007, L.S. Kairzhanova was awarded the badge "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
In 2009, Laura Sovetovna was appointed to the post of head of the educational and methodological service, then vice-rector for Academic Affairs. It was the time of transition to the credit technology of education, regulations and recommendations were developed under her leadership, the structure of the educational department was improved – the registrar's department was created, branches of departments were created at enterprises and educational organizations, the IAC "Electronic Rector's Office" was expanded, a license was obtained (authors: Ashimov U.B., Kairzhanova L.S., Shpak A.V.), which was subsequently transferred to the university. There was a lot of work, because academic work is the main direction at the university, but Laura Sovetovna successfully coped with this task.
In 2011, she was awarded the badge "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", in 2012 – the Big Gold Medal of the M. Kozybayev NKSU for her contribution to the development of the university. I would like to note that in 2003 the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded her the academic title of associate professor in the specialty "Biology", in 2011 Kairzhanova L.S. was awarded the academic title "Professor of M. Kozybayev NKSU", and in 2012 – PhD in biology.
From 2012 to 2013, L.S. Kairzhanova was an adviser to the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2013 to April 2017, Laura Sovetovna worked as the Vice-rector for Research and External Relations of M. Kozybayev NKSU. Here she is actively involved in the organization and improvement of the scientific process. A lot of work is being done together with departments to implement academic mobility: sending students to study at foreign universities and inviting foreign scientists to give lectures; sending undergraduates to foreign internships and concluding contracts with universities and research institutes within the framework of international cooperation. She made a lot of efforts to open dissertation councils; increase funding for research projects and the number of scientific publications of scientists in foreign highly rated journals. Together with regional structures, events were held not only at the regional, republican, but also at the international level.
Laura Sovetovna herself actively continues research on improving the productivity of animals, which is reflected in her publications. In total, she has published more than 100 scientific and methodological works.
Her authority and professionalism are in demand in the field of education and science at the republican and regional levels, she is a member of the National Working Group on Structural Reforms of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Council of Businesswomen of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the North Kazakhstan Region, is the curator of the project "A country without corruption – a prosperous country" of the Nur Otan party.
For active public work, L.S. Kairzhanova is awarded with Gratitude and a Diploma of the Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region (2014), the jubilee medal "20 years of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (2015).
The election of Laura Sovetovna in 2016 as a deputy of the city maslikhat in the constituency No. 2 of Petropavlovsk is a logical continuation of her active civic position.
When you communicate with Laura Sovetovna, you remember the words of A.P. Chekhov: "Everything should be fine in a person: face, clothes, soul, and thoughts." And I would like to say that my graduate meets these requirements – my colleagues and I are proud of her.
