Студент Ислам Евлоев – известный борец греко-римского стиля - получил грант на обучение в магистратуре Kozybayev University. Он входит в сборную страны и неоднократно защищал честь Казахстана на международных турнирах. Напомним, в конце мая во вьетнамском г.Дананг прошел молодежный чемпионат по борьбе (U23), где Ислам завоевал «золото» в весовой категории до 97 кг, уверенно выиграв все  схватки. Ранее Ислам Евлоев стал чемпионом мира среди молодёжи и победителем Чемпионата Азии среди взрослых. Также выиграл серебряные медали рейтингового турнира «Zagreb Open» в Хорватии и VI Игр исламской солидарности в Эр-Рияде. Ислам обучается по направлению «Физическая культура и спорт» в Kozybayev University. Теперь студент сможет продолжить дальнейшую учебу в альма-матер по программе магистратуры. Сертификат на обучение ему вручил Председатель Правления-Ректор Ербол Исакаев. «В последние годы такие хорошие достижения у спортсменов вуза.Каждый раз, когда наши студенты поднимаются на пьедестал, для нас это особая гордость. A ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the central square of Petropavlovsk. Faculty members, staff, and students of Kozybayev University took part in the celebration. Together with other residents of North Kazakhstan Region, they expressed their respect for the key symbols of the independent state. The residents of the region were congratulated on the occasion by the Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region, who emphasized the special role of state symbols in strengthening national unity, civic responsibility, and patriotism. “The Flag, the Emblem, and the Anthem are sacred symbols of our Independence, national pride, and the unity of our people. They reflect the centuries-old history of the Great Steppe, the spiritual strength of our ancestors, the aspiration for freedom and creation, and faith in a достойное future for Kazakhstan. State symbols have gained particular significance amid the large-scale political reforms being implemented in the country at the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The adoption of the new Constitution became a landmark historical step toward building a Just State. The renewed Fundamental Law strengthened the democratic foundations of the state, expanded citizens’ participation in decision-making, enhanced the protection of human rights and freedoms, and enshrined the principle of ‘Law and Order’ as the foundation of social development and the sustainable future of our country. Respect for state symbols begins with respect for the law, one’s country, and one’s native land. These are the values that shape a strong nation capable of confidently responding to the challenges of the time and achieving the most ambitious goals,” noted Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region Gauyez Nurmukhambetov. The event featured a large-scale flash mob and a festive concert program that brought together representatives of different generations. Participation in such events helps students strengthen patriotic values, develop an active civic position, and foster respect for national traditions. The Day of State Symbols reminds every citizen of the importance of preserving unity, peace, and harmony - the foundations of the successful development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The celebration became a vivid demonstration of how state symbols continue to unite the people of Kazakhstan, inspiring them to achieve new accomplishments for the prosperity of the country.

A Regional Strategic Session titled “Science and Business as the Foundation of Regional Growth in North Kazakhstan Region: 2026–2028” has commenced at Kozybayev University. The three-day event is being held in the format of a scientific and business hackathon and is aimed at transforming the agro-industrial sector of Northern and Central Kazakhstan. The session is organized with the support of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan Region, JSC Science Fund, and SIMCON Consulting Company (Kazakhstan). “We held a similar session in 2024. This time, we initiated the event to raise issues related to the development of regional science. We strive to ensure that the results of our researchers’ work become real technologies that are in demand by enterprises and contribute to regional development. I am confident that our strategic session will become an important step toward launching new projects that will make a significant contribution to the development of the North Kazakhstan Region and strengthen the country's scientific and technological potential,” said Chairman of the Executive Board - Rector Yerbol Issakayev while welcoming the hackathon participants. More than 40 agricultural enterprises, livestock farms, research institutes, machine-building plants, and manufacturing companies are participating in the scientific and technological session. Business representatives present real technological challenges, while experts structure commercially viable solutions, demonstrate market potential, and identify opportunities for business growth. Participants are developing solutions within three tracks: 1. Crop Production Diversification (Meltwater collection and management systems;т Carbon-based forest shelterbelts; Regional soil fertility monitoring system; Breeding and adaptation of early-maturing sunflower varieties аnd other initiatives) 2. Livestock Production Diversification (Production of feed pellets (alfalfa); Secondary utilization of lagoon waste (biotechnological treatment); IT-based cattle feeding and stress management systems; Genetic reproduction and breeding of adapted livestock аnd other initiatives) 3. Engineering and Manufacturing Diversification (Reverse engineering; 3D printing technologies; Automation solutions; Materials science аnd other areas) As a result of the session, six strategic regional scientific projects will be developed, and sustainable consortia between research teams and businesses will be established to ensure a scientific and innovation breakthrough for regional enterprises.

Kozybayev University hosted a certificate award ceremony for participants of the Silver University program. The project is designed for older adults and aims to create opportunities for lifelong learning, active aging, and social self-realization. Participants can choose from a wide range of courses covering digital literacy, foreign languages, health and legal issues, as well as creative development. In 2025, Kozybayev University became a member of the Kazakhstan Association of Silver Universities and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the International Association of Universities of the Third Age (AIUTA). This opened up new opportunities for experience exchange and participation in various educational initiatives. Currently, the Silver University program at our institution includes seven courses. Classes are held twice a week. During the spring semester, three groups completed training in Yoga, Travel Journalism, and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. Approximately 35 participants took part in these courses. As part of the activities of the Kazakhstan Association of Silver Universities, four of our participants will attend the Summer School in Zerenda this June. It is worth noting that this is already the second intake of Silver University participants at Kozybayev University. The first cohort completed the program during the autumn semester, with 27 graduates successfully finishing their studies. Enrollment in the Silver University program is ongoing. The program is open to university employees, retirees, and residents of the city aged 50 and above.

The three-day working visit of partners from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), China, to Kozybayev University was intensive and productive. The delegation was headed by Vice President Zhang Hongming. During the meeting with the university administration, the key outcomes of the nine-year cooperation between the two universities were presented. Special attention was paid to collaborative research in agronomy, animal husbandry, and water resources management. The participants were also introduced to the results of cooperation in academic mobility, master's and doctoral training, dual-degree programs, and achievements in research activities, including joint publications in international scientific journals and participation in international projects. During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for further development of the partnership. Particular interest was shown in joint research projects aimed at ensuring food security, developing sustainable agriculture, introducing modern agricultural technologies, and training highly qualified specialists for the agricultural sector. The guests then visited the laboratories of the Agrotechnological Faculty, three of which were established jointly with Chinese partners. Members of the delegation were presented with ongoing research projects and innovative developments in crop production, animal husbandry, biotechnology, water resources management, and agricultural digitalization. To support further scientific research, NWAFU representatives donated two modern milk analyzers to Kozybayev University for assessing more than ten quality indicators of milk. One of the devices has been installed at Mambetov & K LLP, where joint research is being conducted with the university. Rapid testing kits for pregnancy detection in cows and mastitis diagnostics in milk were also provided to partner farms in the North Kazakhstan Region. These resources will significantly enhance our research capabilities in animal husbandry. As part of the visit, the NWAFU delegation visited Mambetov & K LLP and Kyzylzhar Sut LLP, which serve as demonstration sites for the Agrotechnological Faculty and Northwest A&F University. These enterprises provide a platform for scientific research and practical training of students. During meetings with the management and specialists of the enterprises, current production challenges and technological needs requiring scientific support were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of applied research focused on solving practical problems in animal husbandry and considered prospects for implementing projects related to smart farming and the digitalization of livestock production. It should be noted that since 2017, Kozybayev University has been developing a strategic partnership with Northwest A&F University within the framework of the international Belt and Road Initiative. One of the key areas of bilateral cooperation has been academic mobility. Over the years, approximately 100 Chinese students and master's students have studied at our university, while 30 Kozybayev University students have studied at the Chinese institution. Currently, 35 students, including two dual-degree master's students, and two doctoral students are continuing their studies there. The universities are conducting extensive joint research in the fields of food security, agronomy, plant breeding, water resources management, and the establishment of a dairy bull breeding station in the North Kazakhstan Region. At the same time, one of the primary objectives of Kozybayev University is the development of regional scientific clusters, particularly in the areas of the agro-industrial sector and food security.  

An international event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of cooperation between Northwest A&F University of China (NWAFU), one of the leading agricultural universities in China, and universities and research organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University. The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing, A.I. Barayev Research and Production Center for Grain Farming, as well as scientists from Kazakhstan and China. Chairman of the Executive Board – Rector of Kozybayev University Yerbol Issakayev delivered a welcoming speech, noting that significant results have been achieved over the years of cooperation in the fields of agricultural science, personnel training, academic mobility, and joint research. Cooperation between universities and scientific organizations of Kazakhstan and China is actively developing within the framework of the Alliance of Agricultural Education and Innovation, which has become an effective international platform for combining scientific potential, introducing modern agricultural technologies, implementing joint research projects, and training a new generation of competitive specialists. The main goal of the forum was to strengthen international scientific and educational partnership and consolidate efforts in addressing strategic issues of food security, sustainable agricultural development, and technological modernization of the agro-industrial complex. As part of the scientific section, researchers and scientists presented reports dedicated to sustainable agriculture, digitalization of the agricultural sector, feed production, breeding, ecology, and the implementation of innovative technologies in agriculture. Such international platforms strengthen partnership ties between universities and create a foundation for new joint scientific projects and long-term cooperation.

The Academic Integrity League brings together leading higher education institutions of Kazakhstan. Its key mission is the systematic transformation of the educational environment through the promotion of transparency, fairness, ethics, and mutual trust. The Annual Forum of the League, dedicated to the 8th anniversary of the organization, was held at SDU University. As part of the panel session, leading experts and heads of Kazakhstani universities presented strategic reports focused on current digital and institutional challenges. A special moment of the program was the solemn award ceremony for experts of the Academic Integrity League. For active work and significant contribution to the promotion of academic ethics values, a certificate of honor was awarded to Inna Dzhemaledinova, Head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service at Kozybayev University. The event continued with the General Assembly meeting, during which the Chair for the 2026–2027 academic year was elected. Two universities competed for the chairmanship of the League: the International Information Technology University and Kozybayev University. The application from our university was convincingly presented by Aigul Nurpeisova, Member of the Executive Board for Academic Affairs. According to the final voting results, the absolute majority of the General Assembly members (70% to 30%) supported Kozybayev University. This result demonstrates the highest level of trust from the academic community toward our university and recognizes its leadership in strengthening academic integrity in Kazakhstan.

Our students demonstrated excellent results at the Republican Subject Olympiad among students of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages.” The intellectual linguistic competition was held at the Academician E.A. Buketov Karaganda Research University. Daniel Brook won 2nd place in German, while Birzhan Kazbekov took 3rd place in French. Their academic supervisor was Senior Lecturer of the Department of Germanic and Romance Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature, S.M. Medvedeva. The first round included listening to audio recordings, reading texts and completing related tasks, a lexical and grammar test, as well as solving professional tasks. During the second stage, participants presented an individual project in the format of an electronic presentation in a foreign language. The students достойно represented the university and received the corresponding diplomas. We congratulate the participants and their supervisor on this achievement!

A reading machine for students with visual impairments has been installed in the reading hall of the library at Kozybayev University. This special device helps users independently study printed texts, books, documents, and educational materials. Such technologies make education more accessible and allow students to comfortably receive information without outside assistance. The operating principle of the device is quite simple: a built-in camera or scanner photographs the text, the program then recognizes the printed characters, and afterward the text is voiced through a speaker or headphones. The reading machine speeds up work with large volumes of information, increases the accessibility of the educational environment, and contributes to the academic and social integration of students. “The new equipment was purchased as part of the university’s efforts to create an accessible and inclusive educational environment. The device enables students to independently work with educational and scientific literature, receiving information in a convenient audio format in more than 20 languages, including Kazakh, Russian, and English,” noted Library Director Asiya Yermisheva. Currently, 16 students with visual impairments are studying at the university. “The use of the reading machine will allow students to independently work with printed publications, educational materials, and documents, significantly expanding access to the library’s educational resources. This will positively affect the education of students with visual impairments because it is very important that everyone has equal access to information,” noted Akzhan Karim, Head of the Inclusive Education Center at Kozybayev University. In addition, the library of Kozybayev University provides literature in Braille, audio versions of books, and digitized publications for students with special educational needs. The university strives to create equal opportunities for all students and will continue its work on modernizing the library space and implementing modern technologies aimed at developing a contemporary inclusive educational environment.  

The last school bell is not just a farewell to school, but the beginning of a great journey filled with opportunities, bold decisions, and new achievements. Today, representatives of Kozybayev University visited 25 educational institutions in Petropavl and the districts of the North Kazakhstan region to share with graduates one of the most important and emotional days of their lives. A special moment for our university was the presentation of educational grants to talented graduates — winners and prize-winners of national Olympiads and scientific projects. This year, 13 determined students received certificates for free tuition, already proving that the future of the country is in the hands of educated and gifted youth. Supporting young talents is one of the key priorities of Kozybayev University. We create an environment where every student can unlock their potential, receive a high-quality education, and confidently build their professional future. We express our gratitude to teachers and parents for their contribution to the success of the graduates, and we wish the students courage to move forward, believe in themselves, and never stop striving for new heights!
