Look at me as an equal

Under this name, an inclusive training was held among KozybayevUniversity students. Currently, inclusive education is gaining momentum more and more. Groups and classes of children are created in each educational institution, regardless of their physical, mental, intellectual characteristics. Including at our university. In 2021, an Inclusive Education Center was opened here.

«It is important to make sure that there is not only an educational process, but also a creative one. Then students with disabilities will be able to participate in all activities, showing and revealing their creative potential. I think our Center will be visited by active students who will be able to offer their ideas for building a real inclusive environment at the university,»  says Akzhan Karim, head of the Center for Inclusive Education.

The speaker also told the children what inclusive education is, its principles and significance for people with special educational needs. The event was held in an open format, students actively answered questions and asked their own. The most interesting task was the discussion and analysis of specific situations for helping people with disabilities, fostering charity, respect, a sense of friendship and mutual assistance to each other.
