Discussed new trends in education

In our university, one-third of all educational programs are pedagogical. Therefore, the exchange of best practices and knowledge in the field of teacher training with colleagues from other universities is simply necessary.

In this regard, it has become a good tradition at Kozybayev University to hold an international scientific and practical conference "Modern pedagogical education: integration of science and practice". This time, both offline and remotely, it brought together representatives of educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and the USA. Over 200 scientific reports have been received. The plenary and sectional meetings were attended by specialists of the Department of Education of the North Kazakhstan Region, the JSC "National Center for Advanced Training "Orleu", Surgut SPU, Novosibirsk SPU, and others.

New trends in teacher education are on the agenda: practice orientation, lifelong learning continuity, and inclusion. Board Member for Academic Affairs Renata Apergenova noted that today the university's task is to respond quickly to changes in the modern world. And such dialogue platforms allow us to coordinate and respond to the challenges of the time. There is no single recipe for training future teachers. It will change throughout training.  And it is important to find non-standard, interesting solutions in personnel training.

By the way, some innovations have already taken place this year. For example, now the practice of student teachers is evaluated not by university departments, but by mentors in schools.  Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan have the opportunity to attract more practitioners to teach.

The Dean of the University of Arizona College of Education also spoke at the event. He said that together with his university, Kozybayev University is preparing for the international program "Psychology in Education". The work of the conference continued in the afternoon at five breakout sessions on current topics of music, sports, primary and preschool education, and pedagogy, including special and social orientation.
