A round table on questions of national history

In 29 June in NKSU the leading scientists from Astana, Karaganda and Petropavlovsk met at the round table “The study of national history in regional universities: Status and Prospects” to discuss the topical issues of history and modern views on the events of the past years.

The event was opened by the Rector of the University of Undasyn Ashimov, noting that national history has a great importance in the spiritual development of society and the younger generation in particular.

The main idea of ​​the event was the idea of ​​forming a historical consciousness as one of the priorities of Kazakhstan's development, the fundamental factors of stability and consolidation of society.

Deputy Mayor of region Farhad Kuanganov told today MES of the Republic of Kazakhstan works on an addition of history textbooks, curriculum. The scientists, museum staff, local historians, archaeologists of country are tasked with drawing up an objective historical picture.

Conference participants paid attention to the issues of sources, periodization, archival, teaching methodology.
