The students' knowledge of Kazakh, Russian, English, German and French languages was checked at the M. Kozybayev NKSU

Every year, our University hosts a subject Olympiad for students in language disciplines. It was organized by the Institute of language and literature among students in grades 10-11 of the city and districts of the North Kazakhstan region.

It was attended by more than 200 children from secondary schools and gymnasiums of Petropavlovsk, as well as districts named after G. Musrepov, Shal akyn, Kyzylzhar, Mamlyut and Yessil.

Not only future philologists and linguists are here. Many of the children have decided on their future field of activity, and it is far from linguistics. However, everyone understands that in the modern world, knowledge of languages is a significant, valuable addition to many professions in every sense. This affects the breadth of thinking, broadens the horizons, and increases the communicative competence.

The Olympiad was held in Kazakh, Russian, English, German and French. In the full-time round at our University, students performed grammar tests, listening exercises, text translation, etc. students were given up to 3 hours to complete all tasks.
While the children were working on philological tests, the Department of Russian language and literature organized a seminar for teachers.

The winners and prize-winners of the linguistic competition were awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees. It is worth noting that many of the participants of the Olympiad in the past years are now successful students or graduates of the ILaL of the M. Kozybayev NKSU.
