Department of Information and Communication Technologies
В 1996 году на базе двух кафедр – кафедры «Информатики и управления» Высшего технического колледжа Северо–Казахстанского университета (зав. кафедрой Мутанов Г.М.) и кафедры «Информатика» СКУ (зав. кафедрой Орловская В.В.) создана кафедра «Информатики и управления», впоследствии переименованная в кафедру «Информационно-коммуникационные технологии». Кафедра первой в Казахстане открыла специальность «Информационные системы в экономике, бизнесе и управлении», при кафедре была открыта аспирантура по специальности 05.13.06 «Автоматизация технологических процессов и производств», ставшие залогом роста кафедры и формирования ее имиджа. На сегодняшний день кафедра ведет подготовку бакалавров по 4 образовательным программам, магистров ОП 6М070300 «Информационные системы», докторантов по ОП 6D075100 «Информатика, вычислительная техника и управление». Все образовательные программы имеют аккредитацию в международном агентстве ASIIN, НААР и ARQA. Обучающиеся кафедры активно участвуют в научно-исследовательских работах и олимпиадах по различным направлениям, занимают призовые места (I место (командное) в XIII Республиканской предметной онлайн-олимпиаде по ОП «Информационные системы», 2021 год; I место (личное) в Республиканской предметной олимпиаде по ОП «Информационные системы», 2022 год (г. Нур-Султан)).
