Range of Services Offered by the Water Quality Assessment Research Laboratory

The laboratory provides comprehensive services for assessing the physicochemical, organic and microbiological composition of water, ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety and the analytical reliability of results.

1. Physicochemical Water Analysis

  • Determination of water turbidity, mineralization, salinity and hardness;
  • Determination of dissolved oxygen and key hydrochemical parameters;
  • Analysis of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Fe, etc.) using atomic absorption spectrometry (MGA-1000);
  • Determination of mercury using the RA-915M analyzer;
  • Determination of anions (NO₃⁻, SO₄²⁻, PO₄³⁻, etc.) by ion chromatography (940 IC Vario);
  • Spectrophotometric analysis (Shimadzu UV-1900i), including differential spectrophotometry of complex water systems.

2. Analysis of Organic Pollutants and Pesticides

  • Analysis of pesticides, pharmaceutical compounds, surfactants and toxic organic substances;
  • Identification of organic compounds using FTIR spectroscopy.

3. Comprehensive Environmental Assessment

  • Assessment of drinking and surface water quality;
  • Monitoring of water resources;
  • Identification of sources of pollution;
  • Comprehensive interpretation of physicochemical and biological parameters;
  • Assessment of compliance with regulatory requirements.

4. Research and Applied Services

  • Development and implementation of water quality monitoring methods;
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of sorbents and water treatment technologies;
  • Validation of analytical methods;
  • Conducting research and applied projects within the framework of program-targeted funding;
  • Modeling of water pollution and treatment processes.
